Transfer Puppies
On occasion, it may be necessary to transfer a puppy from one raiser to another. There are a number of reasons for this to happen including temperament, medical issues, or a change in the raiser’s situation.  Sometimes, the puppy’s personality is not a good match for that particular raiser. For instance, some raisers are more successful with a high-energy pup, while others may connect better with a more mellow one. Some puppies enjoy an environment with lots of activity, while others may find it stressful.  If a pup has medical issues, one raiser may not have the resources to address it as well as another raiser. Additionally, some pups can just be very challenging and need a more experienced raiser to be successful. If a pup is transferred from one raiser to another, it should not be viewed as a failure on the raiser’s part, but as an adjustment that will provide the best chance of success for both the pup and raiser.
